Training

EnergySkills is active in the development of training programmes for the NZ Energy industry. 

We have developed several training programmes in partnership with providers such as WITT, that provide opportunities for people to gain entry level employment into the industry.

The programmes we develop have been carefully thought out by our industry governance board and associated companies.  A working group of industry members volunteer their time to workshop and develop the content for particular programmes. 

Programmes that have the EnergySkills branding are always developed by industry for industry and provide a very high employment prospect for those that are successful in their training.

Analysis is conducted to assess where the industry skill shortage areas are at certain stages and programmes are developed to help ensure industry have the required resource to ensure project development.

The industry considers competency of staff to be extremely important and has a strong committment towards ensuring every member of staff has the required technical and theoretical competency to safely and efficiently perform their job tasks. 

EnergySkills is committed to support industry towards building effective competency based frameworks and this is incorporated into any training development.
