Maintenance Technicians-Trades

Work involves the installation, operation, servicing, monitoring, troubleshooting and fixing equipment used in the upstream Energy Industry.

Tasks can include:

  • Mechanical maintenance assistance in work planning, co-ordination, implementation of work and supervision on a day to day basis. 
  • Ensuring work is planned and parts available. 
  • Ensuring all mechanical equipment is overhauled and repaired. 
  • Assisting in the revision of parts and equipment documentation. 
  • Assisting with project design, implementation and management. 
  • Working with and assisting team members. 
  • Application of good safety practices. Hazard ID's 
  • Completing history reports.  
  • Sometimes supervision of working group

Education and Qualifications

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience in the Petrochemical or related industry
  • Experience with Predictive and Preventative Maintenance programs
  • Experience with maintenance overhaul of rotating equipment
  • Experience with laser alignment of rotating equipment
  • Experience with high pressure steam raising plant and associated equipment
  • Experience within a machine shop using lathes, milling machines and associated equipment
